Day 32: Surf the Sunday brunch menu at Cabo’s

1 Feb

The first time my husband took me to Cabo’s Island Grill and Bar I almost didn’t get out of the car because of the restaurant’s terrible curb appeal. It sits in the back of a worn strip center with a simple blue awning and red sign. To my relief I noticed once we stepped inside the restaurant was packed, a clear sign that good food awaited. The walls are cheerfully decorated with beach scenes and surf boards hang from the ceiling. Cabo’s claim to fame is its Mexican food, though it offers plenty of vegetarian dishes and other culinary diversions such as vegetable lasagna. I particularly like Cabo’s Sunday brunch menu, which offers the typical pancakes and omelettes, as well as Mexican favorites such as huevos rancheros and breakfast fajitas. Cabo’s isn’t the best brunch it town but at $20 for me and my husband, it’s a great bang for the buck.
