Day 48: Watch an FSU women’s softball game

17 Feb

On a sunny spring day, munching on cracker jacks and watching the Florida State University women play softball is as good as it gets. My husband and I recently watched the FSU women’s softball team play Hofstra, winning five-to-one. One of the best things about FSU women’s softball is it is free. That’s right, you don’t have to pay to attend any regular season women’s softball games, only post-season games. We were able to snag great sits just behind the batter, though I will warn that fly foul balls are extremely common, so pay close attention to the game. Their concession stand is pretty good, offering food such as the aforementioned cracker jacks, popcorn, boiled and roasted peanuts, nachos, cotton candy, cookies, and ice cream. It’s also very kid-friendly, with a table set up for kids to make their own cheering posters.

Address: 1119 Spirit Way, JoAnne Graf Field at the Seminole Softball Complex.
