Day 71: Eat BBQ at Jim & Milt’s

12 Mar

My search for good local barbecue was not easy. Everyone kept telling me “go to those barbecue stands off the side of the road.” My husband pushed for Sonny’s, which he says is good, but is not locally-owned. Finally we settled on trying Jim & Milt’s BBQ. I don’t eat meat, so I brought along the husband and my brother as taste-testers. Sadly, both said it was pretty mediocre. The night we went they had all-you-can-eat chicken and pork for $9.99. The pork was dry, and the chicken laden with fatty skin. The sides were a bit better. Both the beans and cole slaw were extraordinarily tasty. Thus, our search for good barbecue continues.

Address: 1923 West Pensacola

I find it puzzling that Tallahassee doesn’t have a single great barbecue joint nor a good deep-dish pizza place.

Not yet. It looked kind of unappetizing from the outside, but I trust your judgement!
