Day 177: Bite into the pizza at Barnaby’s

26 Jun

is one of those old Tallahassee favorites, known for its family-friend atmosphere and low-frills dining. The interior (and exterior, for that matter) resemble a Middle Ages tavern, with dark wood beams and ceiling lights made to look like they are fire lit. Barnaby’s is best known for its pizza, which comes with all the usual topping choices. I like that you can order a small personal-sized pizza rather than the ginormous pizzas that other chains offer. Their crust is distinctive and delicious, and falls somewhere between thin and thick. They offer an arcade for kids with fairly inexpensive games – about 25 cents a game. I took my lil’ sis with Big Brothers Big Sisters there and she loved it. It’s also really inexpensive. Our meal cost $10. One of the odd things about Barnaby’s is you buy your drinks from a separate bar and they only take cash. Fortunately the cashier forewarned us and was able to give me cash back on my debit card. All in all, a great spot for an inexpensive meal.
