I just moved to Tally and this is super helpful! Thanks!
Thanks, Erin!
I also just moved to Tallahassee! This list is great. Gives me an idea of what to do and where to go. I want to take advantage of all that I can while we are here and this list is a great place to start.
Welcome to Tallahassee, Amber!
This is a really great list!!! I’ve been here for 7 1/2 years, and I’ve always been a fan of Tally. It’s true there a lot of things to do, but you have to go in search of them. This list makes it a little easier 🙂
Also, at Groupfit Studios http://www.groupfitstudio.com/ there is free work out classes on the 1st Sat of everymonth. (I’m not sure about this month since it’s Spring Time Tallahassee) but it’s worth checking out)
Also http://www.skydivetallahassee.com/ Skydiving is pretty close to Tallahassee. I don’t know if there is a price limit.
This is an excellent website and such a great way to find something to do in Tally. Thank you so much. I thought I would let you know 2 things off the top of my head that I enjoy here. Groupfit Studios by 5guys and red elephant off Thomasville rd offers free community classes the 1st Sat of every month and they just had their spring hike this weekend (keep posted for the Fall one) http://www.groupfitstudio.com/ And I don’t know if you have a price limit but http://www.skydivetallahassee.com/ is in quincy and thats pretty awesome too.
do you have an announcement place, where you post cool events that are coming up in tally?
No, I don’t, but that is a great idea. I will look into doing something like that.
Hi Lilly:
I came across your blog because Wayne Bertch retweets it. Very interesting as you are hitting some of Tallahassee’s best. Tallahasse is a great place that I am sure you will conclude when you finish your year. I am currently President of the Mary Brogan Museum and I didn’t see that you visited us on your list yet so I’d like to offer a private tour to you and Mark with me and our Director Chucha Barber. We currently have a world class extraordinary Baroque art exhibition that I think you’ll enjoy. Please call me at the office 561-6300 to schedule. I’ve got a bunch of other places and things to suggest and tell you about too.
David
David, unfortunately I have already been to the Brogan for this blog. Thank you so much for the offer, though! Lilly
When will the next southwood neighborhood garage sale be held?
It is on Sept. 24.
Hi! Great blog! Exactly what I need since I’ll be moving to tally this October for work. I have always been a city girl in the philippines and having visited NY, LA, SFO and Tampa, I’m quite worried about what activities I can do there since I don’t want to get burned out from work and all. Do you have any events in tally for the “ber” months? 🙂 any safe neighborhoods/ good apartments that you can recommend?
Rina
Hello, send me an email at 365tally@gmail.com and I’ll givey you some recommendations on places to live.
Thank you for keep this blog going.
I am new to Tallahassee and I found your blog extremely interesting and full of useful information! !
Wow, I was born and raised here and this list gave me ideas of things I never even knew were here!! 🙂
I just discovered your blog! Love it!
Hi! I really enjoyed looking at this blog. I grew up in Tallahassee and am soon to go back, and I enjoyed recognizing so many of the places you post about. You should really check out Kool Beanz cafe- it was still open last time I went, this summer, so I’m guessing it’s still still open 🙂 It was one of my favorite places when I was younger. Thanks for the blog!
Hi, my name is Wanda Fox and I am writing a letter back to a young lady from New Jersey and she picked Tallahassee for the capitol that she wanted to learn more about so I saw your website but mostly this related to college or adults as she is in 3rd grade.Do you have a list for children 365 log. Any help would be appreciative. Thanks for you help in advance! Wanda Fox
Hey Wanda,
There should be a category on the right-hand side called “For the Kids” that has all the stuff for children.
