Day 110: Order a pizza at Brickyard

21 Apr

This post was intended to be published on April 20

Brickyard Pizzeria is a true neighborhood pizza joint, tucked into the Killearn neighborhoods in northeast Tallahassee beside a convenience store and Ace Hardware. It’s extremely family-friendly and a has a really comfortable feel, like it’s the kind of place where the waitress knows your name and order the minute you walk in. Their pizza is tops, one of the best in Tallahassee. Brickyard has a pretty decent array of toppings, but beware that the pizzas come in pretty large sizes. The smallest is 12 inches. They also offer calzones, pastas like baked ziti and lasagna, and desserts. Their prices are about average, not as cheap as Domino’s, of course, but far better quality.

Day 64: Eat pizza at Momo’s

5 Mar

Momo’s is a beloved local pizza joint that proudly sells slices “as big as your head.” Their pizzas are huge, so most people just order one slice. They have several locations, one on the “student side of town,” and the other on the Northeast side of town. I always think of Momo’s as the perfect place to go after a softball game because each person can order their own personalized slice and they have a pretty decent beer selection. Their toppings are also pretty inventive. You can get pineapples, feta cheese and Bradley’s sausage on your pizza. They also sell lasagna, salads and calzones if pizza isn’t your thing. Their prices are very reasonable – $3.25 for a slice and 75 cents for extra toppings.

Address: 1410 Market Street and 1416 W. Tennessee St.
